Equine Medical Services Staff

Alison Rode - Office Manager

Alison Rode is the Office Manager at EMS.  Mrs. Rode (she and Dr. Rode have been married for 27 years) handles the books and all of the administrative duties of the practice.  Alison is a graduate of Lake Erie College and the Morven Park International Equestrian Institute.  She worked as an equine instructor and trainer prior to taking over the business side of the practice.   If Dr. Rode is "the man in charge", Alison is "the woman who knows what's going on."

Robin Perlick - Practice Receptionist

Robin Perlick is our practice receptionist.  She is responsible for answering the phone, scheduling appointments and processing data into the computer.  Thus, her cheerful voice is likely to be your first contact at EMS.

Tracey Huff - Veterinary Assistant

Tracey Huff is one of the veterinarians' ambulatory assistants.  She is responsible for organizing the practice vehicles and assisting the doctors on farm calls.  Prior to joining the staff at EMS, Tracey worked for nearly 20 years at Audley Farm, a consistent producer of high quality racing and breeding Thoroughbreds here in Clarke County.

Cindy Jenks - Veterinary Assistant

Cindy Jenks is our resident "Jack of all trades" as she rotates between working in the barn and working in the office here at EMS.  She has been a veterinary assistant for 4 years but has been around horses her entire life.  She breeds and raises Morgan horses and currently stands "Select Statesman" at her home in West Virginia.  Cindy also owns and cares for a herd of 60 horses, which she uses to supply summer camp programs with riding animals.  Finally, as if she's not quite busy enough, she is the mom of two grown children and two grandchildren.
